Show THEY ROASTED CHANDLER. Turas Taken bjr the Members of the Legislator. Cuncord, N. H., Feb. 2.-There was a sensational scene in the house yesterday afternoon, when United States Senator-elect Gallingeraud Representative Rep-resentative tireen, speaking to a question ques-tion of personal privilege, emphatically denied the allegations of United States henator Chandler in the editorial columns col-umns of his paper that these gentlemen and other republicans had entered into a series of bargains with certain inllu-ential inllu-ential democrats inimical to the interests inter-ests of the republicans. The democrats mentioned also replied. Mr. Green applied the epithet3 "cur," "coward," etc., to Chandler. Pillsbury, republican, offered a resolution reso-lution calling on Chandler for an apology and retraction. Anel, republican, repub-lican, .said, before the resolution was submitted ho should like to know whether Chandler was sick, insane or diseased. After some debate the resolution reso-lution was tabled. |
