The eagle gate is one of the most widely known landmarks iu the world and tourists express disappointment when sight seeing in Salt Lake City on being informed by their guide that the most attractive part of the gate has been removed. The establishment of a historical or preservation preser-vation society to look after thu most important land marks in .ion would be an excellent thing.
