Show STRICKEN DOWN BY APOPLEXY. ()n of Salt Ink en Kn torprliing Citizens TaiiseH A war. Major Edward M. Bynon was stricken with apoplexy Tuesday evening and died at 3:30 a'clock this morning. Major Bynon has been a resident of Salt Lake City since 18S3. He was engaged in the mining and real estato business, having an office in the Scott-Auerbach building on South Main. Edwin M. Bynon was born near Pittsburg. Pa., about 50 years since. At the outbreak of the late rebellion he enlisted in the 14th Pennsylvania Cavalry Cav-alry and gallantly served his couu-try couu-try for three years and six months. After receiving the title of major and an honorable discharge ho settled in Cumberland, Md. While there he was married to an estimable lady. Major Bynon was engaged iu the coal and supply business in Cumberland until 1H7!. About that year he moved to Pittsburg, where he embarked in tho newspaper business, and for three years he ably edited Y. Wasg. the representative representa-tive Welch journal of that city. |
