Special Correspondence to The Times. Oodk.n, May . A fatal case of acci-dental poisoning happened a few day ago in the family of John It. Stoddard of Hooper. The boys seem determined in their efforts to organize and get to work in the hopes that soma day the organi-zation will bo recognized by the terri-torial legislature. - At the last meeting of the city council thelinance committee reported a con-tract being made with 11. C. liigelow to place $100,000 bouds for public improve-ment. This created some confusion as some members held that the bonds were not sold in the usual manner to the highest bidder. Others thought it a good deal, as the city wanted the money and must have it. The money is se-cured in June, July, August and r a 0 per cent. The largest transaction in Moise City real estate was effected last week, wheu Hon. S. R. Pel.amar purchased of C. W. Moore, esip, th.e latter's grounds aud mansion at the corner of Eighth avenue aud Grove street for ifMU.UOO, and also seventeen acres situated on Warm Springs avenue, and known as the John Lemp orchard, for $1:2, (UK). A spirit of enterprise and develop- - nieut has taken hold of Wardnor that is truly remarkable. The best mines there have been tied tip through litiga-tion over two years. The pay roll has been very poor indeed. Wardner seemed, and was, practically dead. The Hunker Hill and the Sullivan, tho two largest producers iu the Comr d'Alene have not had a pay day for more than two years. However, mat-ters have been adjusted aud these mines are in active operation. Business is picking up all around, and but few pay days will be necessary with the forces employed to make Wardner what her people desire "a good town." Queer Filling.
