Show THE CERMAN CATHOLICS. Their Fourth General Convention Opened Iu PtttaburK This Morning. FiTTsisum;, Sept. 20. Special. The fourth general convention of Gorman Gor-man Catholics began today. Tho delegates, dele-gates, who represent all parts of the country, were received by local committees com-mittees and entertained according to programme. The convention will be in session until next Thursday. The important business of the convention will not be taken tip until Monday, ns a great many of tho delegates are not expected to arrive here before then. Those who are here will tomorrow morning attend religious services in a body at tho cathedral. The convention, conven-tion, it is expected, will take steps for the formation of a union of all the organizations or-ganizations of young Catholics throughout through-out the country. A great public demonstration dem-onstration will' be held some night before be-fore the convention finally adjourns, when the attitude of German Catholics on several important questions will be officially stated. |
