Show BANKER M'CORNICK BACK ACAIN. Be Talks of the New Fuel System and the '-, General Condition of the Country. Banker W. S. McCoruick has returned re-turned from his eastern jaunt to Salt Lake City. While absent he investigated investi-gated the new scheme whioh furnishes fuel and light from air forced through petroleum, a project the Salt Lake Iin-prqvement Iin-prqvement company thought of introducing intro-ducing here. Practical men informod Mr. McCornick that the invention might do for fuel near the point of manufacture manufac-ture but at a .distance the stuff separated sep-arated into its constituent parts and clogged the pipes. Concerning the general feeling in the east toward the west Mr. McCornick says it is better than that which existed some time since. The gold gods have gotten over their bitterness towards us and now acknowledge that silver legislation legis-lation is worthy of consideration. The commercial requirements of the country coun-try have rapidly increased during the last quarter and the circulating medium has not been large enough to satisfy the wants of trade. The prospect for the west is brightening and much interest inter-est is manifested in Utah's advancement. |
