Professor Andre is up from Salt Lake Considerable wool is being shipped out of Park City at present. The Salt Lake Times is the favorite newspaper with Park City people. The tlieinoineter registered 85 today. People were complaining of the oppressive oppres-sive heat. Mr. A. E. Wilcox of Pitkin & Brooks, a Chicago crockery aud glassware firm, is in the city. Mr. W. A. Nelson of the Marsac mil and Mr. Stewart Stephenson went to Salt Lake this morning. Miss Sutton and Miss Ruybould came tip from Zion. The ladies are guests of Mr. aud Mrs. William Sutton. Mr. W. H. Hennan, Remington Johnson's John-son's live salesman, spent yesterday in Park selling groceries and cigars to his many customers. Hotel arrivals: Isaac Jennings and wife, Mrs. V. C. Hall, Mrs. Barret, Salt Lake;J. C. Hanson, Minnesota. F. L. Oswald, Wood River; W. H. Strang, New York. W. D. Owengs, representing C. A. Cohen & Co., and T. H. Burnett, representing repre-senting the Robinson Manufacturing Co. of Omaha, arc in town talking business bus-iness to the merchants. Mrs. 1). C. McLaughlin, Mrs. H. G. Bates, Miss Daltou and Mr. 1. L. Os-born Os-born returned from the metropolis last evening where they have been sojouru-iug sojouru-iug over tho Fourth of July. The funeral of Miss Sophia Hanson took place from tho Congregational church, Rev. Mr. Cook officiating. The ceremonies were impressive, and tho remains were followed to their last resting rest-ing placo by a large concourse of friends. Miss Mary Kelly died last evening at 5:30 o'clock. She will be buried from the Congregational church at 3 p. m. Friday. Miss Kelly was highly esteemed es-teemed by all who knew her, and her death is universally deplored. |
