Show A Floral Monster. On the 9th of January, 1890, which was the twelfth anniversary of King Humbert's accession to the Italian throne, the ladies of Rome united in presenting pre-senting him with a bouquet. It was not I a nosegay, or a fragrant trifle that could bo worn in his buttonhole. On the contrary, con-trary, it was between 0 and 7 feet high, ' and required six stout porters to bear it to his majesty's apartmonts. It was, in truth, a floral monster. It consisted of ' a base 8 feet square and a stem surround-; surround-; ed by a vase of graceful shape, the sides : being covered with an inscription done in pansies, mignonette and violets.
