The conference confer-ence report on the urgent deficiency bill presented and agreed to by the house, recedes from the disagreement to tho senate amcudment as to irrigation irriga-tion surveys, with the proviso that no part of the amount be expended in sinking sink-ing wells or construction of irrigation works so that the government may not be 'committed to any plan of irrigation. The senate than proceeded to the consideration con-sideration of tho Montana election case, the majority report being in favor of Wilbur F. Sanders and Thomas C. Power, the minority report in favor of Wdi, A. Clark and Martin Magennis. . fHoar stated the case ou the part of ho majority of the committee.
