Another fcaturo of the new card which will meet with the approval of builders and contractors is a stone train between Salt Lake and Pleasant Valley junction. This is an extra train and was put on so as to supply builders with material as rapidly as possible. EXCURSION KATES. The Rio (irando Western will sell , round trip tickets from nil. points in Utah to members of the M. E. conference confer-ence which meets in this cily on June 83rd, at one faro rates. , The conference will last one week and a large attendance is expected. llev. It is understood that the going journey' is to begin on the date of the sale and the tickets are not . executed for return, passages until June 27th, Two Trains Collide Near St. Louis, With Terrible Ee-Bults. Ee-Bults. TWO CAES OF HOKSES KILLED Together With Their Traiuers-The Particulars of the Affair, St. Louis, June 9. A very serious railroad wreck is reported from War-rentou, War-rentou, Mo.,sixly-one miles west of here, on the Wabash road. Two freight trains collided just outside of Warreutou this morning. Both engine and eighteen cars wrecked. Seven men killed and several wounded. wound-ed. Of the eight palace horse cars laden with raco horses eii route for Kansas City races, two were wrecked and seven men in chargo of the horses are reported re-ported killed. Fifteen horses were killed. A number of trainmen were injured. The horses in the wrecked train were en route from Latonia to Kansas City to take part in the races. The following are the casualties. Local railroad men are considerably puzzled by the conllicting rumors of changes in tho official staff of the Union Pacilie. The latest report from Omaha is that Ed. Dickinson, general manager of the Missouri division, has resigned. At none of tho oflices in this city has any confirmation of this report been yet received aud the local men don't know just how to receive it. I If this last report is true, it knocks in the head the story that came from Cheyenne Chey-enne a few days ago and which that Mr. Dickinson was to be sent to Port-laud Port-laud as tho general manager of the Pacific division aud that Mr. Resseguie was to take Mr. Dickinson's place, KNOW NOTHING OF IT. Chief Clerk Oprlyko said yesterday that lie had heard nothing from Mr. Itesscguio siuco he started for Omaha iu regard to either of these rumors, aud intimated inti-mated that ho did not take much stock iu either of them: Mr. Rosseguio is still in Omaha, and will probably not return for a week yet. Mr. Eccles was also seen, and said that ho had received no confirmation of either report as yet, and knew nothing about then-trouble. then-trouble. ' F. L. Corwin is hereby appointed superintendent superinten-dent of the Utah division, vice W. W. Riter, re'gned. The above appointment to take effect this date. THE RIO GRANDE WESTERN. Superintendent Bancroft of the Rio Grande Western left yesterday morning for Grand Junction to prepare everything every-thing for the standard gauge opening. The first standard gauge train to that point will leave here tomorrow night for Grand Junction. No. 3 tomorrow moruing will ) un only from Ogden to Salt Lake owing to the" change of guage. A new lime card has been issued which goes into effect at 12:01 a. m. tomorrow to-morrow morning. THE NEW TIME CARD. The morning east-bound train leaves Ogden at 0:30 a. in..
