Show The ruinous cutting of passenger rates on tho eastern railroads has set everybody to traveling. At the same time it has attracted the attention of the agricultural states which have been complaining of high freight rates. They argue that if the railroads can afford to enter iuto such warfare, t hey , can afford to lower their rates all the year round to more reasonable figures. The result will be that several legislatures legisla-tures will investigate the matter, and very likely cause a reduction, especially ill freight tariffs. |
