Show 1--, Tho Ladies' Muslcnlc. ('aider's hall was well filled last evening, the occasion being the twenty-eighth concert of tho Ladies Musical society. Tho prograiTiino wns a short but very select one, and was curried out with commendable exactness. The singing of the ladies and gentlemen and the instrumental performances of Mrs. Hall and Major Kent called forth well merited applause. To Miss Khaugh-nessy, Khaugh-nessy, however, must lie neeordod the honors of the evening. It was tin laily'a first appearance on a public stage, ami she certainly aciiniited herself in a manner that surprised as well as delighted de-lighted her many friends, lt will lie a pleasure of rare occurreLce to hear Miss Hluuii'liiiesHy again. All in alt the concert was most enjoyable, and it is to lie hoped that opportunity will lie afforded to hear the performers again. |
