Show Building at Grand .Inaction. Grand Junction, Colo., April 17. A contract has been signed between tho First National bank of Grand Junction and T. P. Bunnell of Salt Lake, by which the immediate erection of a brick block SOxW by the First National bank is assured. as-sured. The block will have a frontage front-age of fifty feet on Main ami seventy-five seventy-five on Fifth street, both of w hich will be of red sandstone, the br.ilding complete com-plete to cost H,0'JO. Work will be commenced withltutrtt days and pushed as rapidly as men nnd money can doso. This makes the fifth business block of a similar character that has been erected or started within the past two months. In addition to this, more double brick blocks have been decided upon at the corner of Fourth and Main. Itcsidcs this, an addition of 35x75 will be built to the Hotel lirunswiek. Since the settlement of that vexed question of title to the townsite of Grand Junction, the building boom promises to be unpa railed in its history. The great cry now is for building material, ma-terial, and about a million more brick will be burned this season than last. |
