"The company has spent for wages wag-es $112,000,000; 'for power, Supplies and service, $134,000,000; for smelting, smelt-ing, refining and freight, $123,000,-000, $123,000,-000, and $36,000,000 for taxes," the copper , official said. '. . Mr. Moffat asserted that the fact that mines are made to produce profits instead of producing profits by mere luck, holds true in Utah. He said the Utah Copper company com-pany will have to look for foreign markets if recovery . lags in the United States.
