and police commissioners on monday evening last bore fruit yesterday when tile the chief suspended assistant chief I 1 ai A HI donovan and captain P X J sullivan both stationed at the west side department assistant chief donovan was si suspended IS shortly after 10 in the morning lie ila was in tho the ollice office of his superior at the time when chief devine handed him a copy of the vilere lie he divested himself of ills uniform arid and came back up town an hour later captain P J sullivan va was treated to a similar surprise when chief appeared at house no 2 accompanied by AV IL
