| Show utah may be somewhat ancient in some things and while she has not been noted for the enterprise which is characteristic of a number of the western states the fact remains that in mining the commonwealth is still in its infancy with hundreds of big paying proper properties ties yet to find and open with several mines to boast of which have paid their thousands and even millions in dividends the history of the past few years has disclosed the fact that during this period a half dozen or more bonanzas have been found the existence of which were not even dreamed of ten years ago ag o and in nearly every mining camp of note and in practically unexplored regions throughout the state prolific producers have come to the front which are now formidable rivals to the big dividend payers which have done so much in the past in malting making a name for utah as the possessor of some of the greatest mines in this or any other country and yet the hills and canyons so numerous on every eve ry hand band have been barely scratched asyet as yet and the near future will bring to light bonanzas over which the miner and prospector have worn paths in years gone by in their search for deposits of the precious metals |
