Show BURRITT IN FROM blackhorse A G burritt one of the pioneers of blackhorse camp in white pine county nevada who has been in salt lake this week informs the mining review that he is making headway in the development of the property of the nil Despe mining company near blackhorse and that he expects almost any day now to receive word from his camp that the two working shafts have passed through the cement capping and have penetrated the gold bearing ledges below the two shafts are being sunk as rapidly as possible with two shifts each one is now down over eighty feet and the other has attained a depth of forty feet and in the deepest workings the formation is changing and the indications are that tho the ii iron on and lime of the vein are beginning to show themselves when mr burritt left his camp two weeks ago the showing was as good as was anticipated at the present stage of development mr burritt is here for the purpose of perfecting arrangements for the development of the property of the ohana mining company in sacramento pass three miles west of blackhorse where there is a fine showing of gold silver and capper ore one of the ledges of the property being nine feet in width while not much has been said regarding blackhorse of late mr burritt states that the mines of the camp are showing up big in the blackhorse mine there is considerable ore showing that will go a dollar in gold to the pound and this occurs in large bodies of shipping ore the showing in the san pedro mine is also magnificent as all of in ore is blocked out in the mine workings some of which is shipping the balance being of good milling grade on the dump on this property also from 50 to in fine milling ore is piled up on the dump considerable activity prevails in districts near to blackhorse and mr burritt states that at the lexington concord ten miles southwest of garrison a threefoot three foot body of ore has been exposed that will go better than to the ton while huge deposits of a good grade of milling ore have been developed in the mine workings thomas watkins living near blackhorse and who was the discoverer of the great blackhorse mine made another find this last spring at eight mile where he has developed about four feet of high grade silver lead ore in a short tunnel from which he has several tons of high grade shipping ore piled up on the dump interested mr watkins in this promising property richard and william hamiltou hamilton A n are col lings and adolph lundgren it being the ly J of the gentlemen to begin 1 work this th fall in its extensive and intelligent ment develop level at the new town of san pedro a ralle mil or 01 two from blackhorse the spirit of progress 8 prevails and under the direction of a p courtright a little boom is being kindly 11 nursed already the town boasts of a store restaurant and saloon and a few houses house and tents the water supply here is excel lent and every advantage exists for the founding of a growing little metropolis this fall should witness a great deal ot activity in the Blach blackhorse horse region as it surely has the making of another goldfield pair fair view wonder round mountain seven troughs or rosebud |
