Show SIX THOUSAND OUNCE ORE nugget silver city idaho marcus white over from flint the first of the week brought over with him a chunk of ruby silver ore from what used to be known as the last chance mine about one and a half miles north of flint on the north side of hardup gardup gulch this mine which was located a good many years ago by jack way and fred grete jr and a 60 foot shaft sunk on it and upwards of in silver taken out of a on the 50 foot level was afterwards sold to M F leech who drove a foot crosscut cross cut tunnel from the gulch on the east and cut the ledge at a depth of feet did a little work on it and then abandoned it since then white brothers relocated the property calling it the ruby silver made an upraise from the tunnel connecting it with the shaft and a short time ago began drifting north from the tunnel level they are now opening up a streak of ore 15 feet long and from two to eight inches in width it is all very high grade silver ore and is being sacked for shipment without as assorting assorting g the samples brought here by mr white are certainly quite as fine as any ever coming from flint district showing a mass of ruby silver which judges say will assay ounces per ton the owners are also drifting on a parallel vein forty two feet east of the before bedfor i e mentioned vein and to cut a shoot of similar ore within the next thirty feet which surface work leads them to believe will be the larger one they have also done surface work on another lead eighty feet west which they believe will surpass the others in width if not equal them in values this constitutes a network of veins all within the boundary lines of one claim which is seldom equaled in fact on the surface the droppings crop pings make it appear like it were all one lead |
