Show BIG CREEK MINES statesman boise boise idaho I 1 H friar has returned from big creek he reports he was unable to get the mill tor for the columbia property in this fall as part of it was delayed too long by the makers the road was not finished and heavy snow came on the elk summit mr friar has been rushing supplies in and has collected a large supply at the pueblo and at the columbus sufficient to keep his men going through the winter at the columbia they will begin preparing soon af after ter the first of the year for the mill at the pueblo a force of men is engaged in running a new tunnel to open the property at much greater depth it has already been driven 50 feet mr friar states E M moore has his small mill in on logan creek and will have it 11 ready for operation in about a month mr moore has worked most emerge energetically t ic al ly to get the mill running this winter and will be rewarded with success he has great confidence in the mine and expects to take out considerable gold before spring comes at the penn idaho mr friar states a force of ten men is employed they are driving the main tunnel ahead and crosscutting the ledge the tunnel has been driven feet and is being pushed for the great ore shoot showing on the surface mr friar states the prospects for great activity in that district in the spring are very good A large number oi of people are intending to work their property vigorously the fact that the road will be completed very soon after the snow goes off gives them an assurance they will have means of wagon communication and the district will experience a marked revival |
