Show THE ST PATRICK COMPANY its recent incorporation description and location of property contributed on the day of february last the st patrick mining milling company came into legal existence by the filing of its articles of incorporation with county clerk eldredge and the secretary of state andis now ready and fully equipped for business the pursuit and object of the corporation is to conduct and carry on the business of mining in all its branches and the milling and reducing or ores and minerals in utah and elsewhere and to that end to acquire locate lease bond buy and sell and otherwise deal jn in any manner with mines and mining claims also to own operate and develop the same and to own and operate mills smelters shelters sm elters and reduction works to construct roads mine railways and tram ways also the acquisition of water and water pipe lines and the construction of such pipe lines and conduits for the furnishing of water to be used in connection with the operation of mines or reduction works also the construction and maintenance of electric power plants electric power transmission lines and the sale of power in connection with said business and in general the doing of anything necessary to carry out completely the object and purposes of the corporation the capital stock of this corporation is fifty thousand dollars divided into two hundred and fifty thousand shares of tle the par value of twenty cents each of which there is set aside one hundred thousand shares as treasury stock subject to sale by the board of directors for the development of their mines and for such other purposes as may best serve the interest of the corporation the entire capital stock is fully paid and non assessable and the board of directors has placed a block of ten thousand shares upon the market to be sold at ten cents per share the corporation owns six promising mining claims situated in hughes canyon big cottonwood mining district utah as follows the st patrick surprise revelation farmer evergreen and hidden treasure forming the st patrick group the officers of the corporation consists of a board of five directors viz david 0 buck president walter webber vice president B A M froiseth secretary andy t J smith treasurer together with charles webber director mr buck is a gentleman of much experience in mining and prospect ing and the others have been interested in mining in the state for years the principal place of business of this i corporation is salt lake city at no 28 W ath south street the mining cl claims aims belonging to this cor horation po ration have neen been worked for the past three or four years under many disadvantages for want of necessary capital to develop them by original owners but under the new corporation work will be prosecuted upon the claims with a good showing of malting making them producers within the near future the ores composed in this group consists of copper lead iron silver and carrying some value in gold the st patrick mine is developed by a tunnel seventy feet long to the ore chute where the metals abovementioned above mentioned are found another tunnel feet long is run underneath the first which cuts the ore chute at greater depth showing the same kind of mineral antimony is also found on the side gide of the ore vein the main vein runs east and west and is traceable for from to feet on the surface with other veins coming in and forming a junction with the main vein north and south from this point it goes in a southeasterly direction and is developed by an tunnel following the ore chute the vein is also traceable in ore chutes carrying iron and carbonates of lead the hanging wall is quartzite and the at present is a black iron schist between the foot wall and hanging wall is encountered a black tale talc from three to eighteen inches thick this tale talc is well filled with iron sulphates carrying small quantities of lead and copper coppery but the ore is mainly afroz en to the hanging wall the large east and west vein is talc schist diorite and slate porphyry occurring in the vein in stratas the same as a horse the other claims clai ms have only been developed sufficiently to determine that the mineral is there gold to the value of from to per ton has been found in all the claims |
