Show MARSHALL LAKE MINES statesman boise idaho the kimberly lead in the marshall lake mining district has been opened up at different points along its trend for a distance of feet or the length of nine full claims showing pay ore the entire distance said D L ray one of the most extensive operators of that section mr ray has recently to this city after spending several months in the marshall lake lahe country building cabins and looking after the development of several properties in which he is interested it was mr ray who consummated the deal whereby the kimberly group was bonded to an eastern syndicate A force of men with supplies was expected the day after he left for boise stated mr ray to begin extensive development work on the property operations would be continued through the fall and winter said he to exploit x the ledge to a depth of several hundred feet some very rich ore had been exposed in the work that had been done and the showing was such as to warrant the belief that the kimberly would develop into a very valuable property gallahan and thompson have made one of the most remarkable showings in the district continued mr ray having opened up in three places the kimberley lead proving up an ore shoot from three to four feet in width the length of a full claim that would average fully 50 per ton the claim is called the independence and adjoins the kimberley on the east it is considered one of the most valuable locations in the entire district several other properties are being opened up stated mr ray among them being the irwin group upon which a large force of men was employed between three and three and one half feet of high grade ore has been exposed on this property that will run close to per ton it is estimated from 40 to 60 per cent of the values may be saved on plates selzer and ford who have under bond the blue ribbon and bear groups have made their second payment and are working a force of men on development the ledge they are opening up has widened out from eighteen inches on the surface to fully four feet at a depth of forty feet W E L hame is developing the schedule group with good results and the general outlook in the district could hardly be brighter from the amount of high grade ore that has been opened up declared mr ray there is no doubt that the district will within a few years become one of the bestin best in the state |
