Show NORTH BUTTE MINING COMPANY TELLS OF FUTURE OPERATING PLANS in a letter to stockholders the north butte mining company which recently was successfully re financed announces its future plans of operations as follows the granite mountain mine will be reopened opened re and aad ores produced from reserves in now open the granite mountain group on butte hill embraces acres of which only eighty acres has been developed to a depth of feet except for one vein this property is virgin below the foot level the granite mountain shaft is feet deep is equipped for a depth of feet and in on the edith may vein from the foot level to the foot level a substantial ton tonnage nacre of high grade copper ore remains to be mined that portion of the granite mountain property hitherto undeveloped embracing about acres will be explored and the veins in this area give promise of substantial production the east side properties of north butte embracing about 1100 acres will be developed through the main range shaft now 2200 feet deep this property is on the direct easterly extension of the principal copper silver veins of the butte district the geological conditions observable in this area are identical with those found to exist in the older mines on butte hill except that the horizon of primary ores by reason of the continental fault is at 11 greater 1 reater depth the complete alteration of the along the east west veins or main ore channels across the anaconda hill extends completely across the east side holdings of north butte and development through and east of the main strand of the continental fault has proved the existence of high grade primary copper silver ores in this east side area immediately development work through the main range shaft will be done on the 2200 level to the east of the continental fault and your engineers are confident that large bodies of high grade copper silver ore will be proven and a very substantial addition will be made to the productive area of the butte district your properties are fully equipped and ready to operate and following the resumption of operations rapid progress should be made in bringing north butte back into substantial and profitable production |
