| Show MINING MEN BUY PROPERTY IN THE GOOD HOPE DISTRICT R M lesher picturesque nevada mining man and rancher and owner of considerable mining property at good hope has arrived in elko after spending the winter J in los angeles says the elko free press mr lesher has disposed of ten of his claims in the good hope district to the randsburg brandsburg Rands burg company a large california mining concern near los angeles and R K humphrey representing the mahack arizona mines company a la large rge silver mining concern in arizona in addition to these claims mr lesher also sold the four clams which were leased last tali fall to lyman maddigan and jensen of salt lake subject to the terms of the lease which was granted the salt lake nien men the plans of the new purchasers of this property are to go into the proposition for all it is worth working all of the possible producers in that section it is their intention to remodel the old mill and install either a flotation or cyanide process in order to handle the low grade ore it is the plan at present to ship thi the e higher grade product out of good hope and mill it elsewhere mr lesher is in elko t to look over the roads into the old mining camp and after inspecting the present conditions he expects to wire the purchasers of the property and they are all ready to move in equipment and men to start work as soon as possible in rehabilitating this old camp mr lesher gained considerable notoriety a few years ago when he scattered 1700 in gold pieces over the streets of los angeles creating quite some sensation thereby mr ar lesher during his stay in california purchased a home in hollywood and additional property in sacramento ite he feels optimistic over the future of the good hope district and prophecies that it will soon become one of the largest producers in elko county |
