Show LEESBURG GOLD DUST CO NEARLY READY TO START MILL orion E kirkpatrick general manager of 0 the leesburg gold dust mining company operating about one and one half miles out of leesburg idaho announces that as soon as weather conditions will permit he will place the companas comp anys clity ton cyanide mill in commission and begin the production of gold on a scale which he is confident will soon reimburse the present backers of the proposition for the faith they have shown and the money they have spent in rounding out the enterprise the mill on the trop erty was revamped and made practically ready for operation last year and manager kirkpatrick who has been in salt lake for some time past awaiting the opening of spring stated a few days ago that the small amount of additional equipment required to finish the mill would be shipped and hallel to the property just as soon as the roads road were clear of snow on the mine end since the reorganization of the old gold dust company which never got farther than to dern demonstrate strate on that its property was a valuable one mr kirkpatrick has added two additional groups of claims to the new com banys holdings and performed a great deal of development work of a substantial and telling character in the carrying out of this campaign he has had the unstinted backing of E W Es of wheeling W va who personally owns a large majority of the companas comp anys stock and whose holdings with those of mr kirkpatrick constitute it ir is understood more than eight tenths of tho stock holdings thousands of feet of development work have been done on the properties said manager lanager IN kirkpatrick in discussing the com banys outlook the other day the veins have been opened up and proven for a distance of feet through the companas comp anys ground great masses of ore which conservatively ively estimated will mill better than 5 a ton have been opened up ready for ex ti traction action and treatment in addition some of the workings are capable of yielding much ore that will run several times so 35 per ton and it is this higher grade ore which we intend to begin treating this spring the chief backer of this undertaking mr Es has never for a moment wavered in his determination to make a dividend payer of the leesburg gold dust and I 1 am now anxious to demonstrate to him that hia hi confidence in the worth of the mine has not been misplaced and that he is entitled to a return of the money invested as soon as possible 1 I expect to make a good showing during this seasons run and when we get down to handling the average grade of ore I 1 hope to add to the mills capacity and treat several hundred tons of ore a day instead of fifty we have been d developing ev eloping for four years now and the mine is opening up bigger and better as the work progresses |
