Show LEASE FLUME UNDER SUCCESS MILL 4 A novel lease was executed recently between the success mining company and F S hobson and W J hughes of wallace idaho under which the latter secure the right to mine the concentrates which have accumulated in the success flume and under the mill together with the use of two concentrating tables in the mill to reduce the accumulation to a shipping product the flume is probably a mile and a half long and takes the water from the creek cheeka a short distance below the callahan mill hence the settlings in the flume represent losses from that mill covering a long period of years the ground under the success mill is supposed to be rich in slime that has gradually worked through the floor during the many years since the mill was constructed ted it has been thoroughly prospected by the leasers leaders who are convinced that it will pay the lease is made on a basis of a royalty to the company A few years ago the standard flume of the federal company just above this city was worked the same way and proved very profitable |
