Show THE GREAT UINTAH BASIN beginning with the february issue the mining review will begin the publication of a series of articles on the uintah basin region uintah bounty utah from the pen of professor earls douglass geologist for the smithsonian institute who is now located at jensen where he is engaged in the excavation and recovery of the bones of prehistoric animals reptiles fishes etc the first article the manuscript for which is already in hand with photos for illustration treats of the glories of the uintah basin and this is to be followed by an article on the geology of the uintah basin with its wonderful mineral and oil possibilities bili ties this portion of the state is strongly appealing to investors mining and oil operators home seekers and those of artistic temperament pe seeking the beautiful and wonderful in nature and these articles are bound to stir their enthusiasm and at the same time give them a better knowledge of the attractions of this section of the west so near and yet et so far because of its isolated location we know these articles will be read with great interest by subscribers to the mining review |
