Show WYOMING the following dispatch comes from casper two men said to be dr illers employed in the lander oil field have struck it rich by the discovery of a vein of quartz running to the ton about a mile or two from atlantic city in fremont county south of lander the men were out for a walk sunday and accidentally kicked up some of the quartz vein with seams of gold running through it ell eli cindel and associates are operating a copper property in the laramie mountains at a point about twenty five miles west of cheyene and have sent several shipments to the denver market they did considerable dead work on the ground which was a producer several years ago but it is said that the ore has paid all expenses and that the operators now have the prop eity eily in shape to realize good returns from their efforts the ore I 1 is S said to be be of a good graue graae it is announced that the mutual refinery at glenrock glenbock Glen rock which has had trouble in cp curing crude oil for treatment has closed contracts by which the plant will treat the production due to the state of wyoming as royalty from output of the big muddy field the report states that the oil will be delav ered to the plant by means of a pipe line connecting with the illinois line which passes about a mile west of the refinery the states share from the big muddy field amounts to about barrels per day the Kas oming oil company which was incorporated in wyoming about a year ago has taken over the interests in the lost soldier ferris dome and other districts of the state of west hazlett and the prairie on oil gas company and consolidated operations now will be conducted in its name material is on hand at fort steel and tm pipe line from there to the lost soldier field will be installed at once A branch line eight miles long will connect the ferris dome with this pipe line great activity is reported from both these fields the midwest refining company has let contracts for six new stills to be installed immediately at its casper plant this addition will make it the third largest in the united states and it is thought will enable it to take care of all the oil produced in this section the new equipment will give the company a capacity of nearly barrels a day at its casper and greybull refineries the extension was made becu necessary by a heavy increase in production from the big muddy and salt creek fields together with a heavy flow expected from the lance creek section 0 |
