Show MINE RESCUE MANEUVERS J E B pettit state mine inspector was in rock springs wyoming from the 1st ast to the ath dinst in attendance at a series of mine rescue maneuvers given under the supervision of the bureau of mines experiment station the rescue car accompanying these maneuvers is assigned a field embracing colorado wyoming montana and utah and it is expected that it will visit the coal mining camps of utah sometime about janvary january mr pettit informs the mining review that the consolidated fuel company ot 0 utah has purchased a rescue car for its own use at hiawatha the car is to be fitted with draeger and westphalia helmets and possibly with the apparatus the car will be used for the training of men in the use of helmets instruction along first aid lines and later in matters I 1 pertaining to safety the car will be held in readiness at all times with a man in charge arge to answer calls in case of serious accidents or fires in mines or explosions |
