Show THE ROAD TO DEEP CREEK railroads on paper have been built into the deep creek country in western utah at least semiannually semi annually for the past twenty years and the subject is again agitated in the press for twenty years the well informed mining man has been fully satisfied as to the feasibility of the project and many of them have been untiring in their efforts to give this favored section transportation facilities many abany there are who have held and worked mining properties in the deep creek region for a quarter of a century or oe more and some of these have grown gray waiting for an opportunity of getting the product of their mines to market at times it has seemed as if the recognition reco desired would be given lines have been surveyed through the district many times and hope has surged high 0 in the breasts of the patient prospector and miner but the road is t going goin to be built it may not be constructed this year or next but within five the whistle of the iron horse will be heard in the valleys and canyons of one of the richest mineralized sections to be found in the west the fact that the mine owners want the road will not have m much uch influence ini luence on builders of railroads it never has but urgent necessity will lead to the of this line sooner or later the smelters shelters sm elters want the dep creek creek ores they want the product of this region as well as that of the mines of ely and they want a shortcut short cut to salt lake two competing lines will enter the field one with a branch from wendover another from some point beewen garfield and ajax such a road is now a necessity and it will be built |
