development the mine development general mining and road read work account represent this represents the total cost of feet of actual development work and several hundred feet additional work in prospecting for air connections etc of this feet was done on the level feet on the level and more or less on all the other levels from the to the bottom and has put in sight over worth of ore since the reopening opening re of the mine some idea as to the amount of ore developed may be formed from the fact that on the level feet of work out of the fe feet t was driven in ore the width varying from six siv to twenty feet also that outside of the main shaft connections have been made from the to the level from to from to from to ito from to and from the to the level all of which connections were made in ore and all made within the last six months operating expenses the operating expense for ore extraction mill operation team expense and all other incidental expenses amounts to and represents the cost of mining and milling tons which gave in bullion returns including april output estimated ti there would be to date tons milled with a production of about at a coltof cost of this would show an average value of the ore of per ton with a saving in the mill of per ton or 91 per cent of the value the cost of 0 mining and milling has been gradually reduced and for the month of march was per ton development work has shown a decided improve improvement melA as to width and value of the ore developed on the level and I 1 believe that as a great proportion of the ore is taken from the lower levels a higher average will be obtained the crusher which was installed in april and the storage batteries now on hand and the shaft and pulleys ordered will practically complete the equipment of the mill with the ithe two additional drills bought in april giving us fourteen in all and with the drill steel now on hand the mine equipment account will be but light the company now has ample buildings for the size of crew it will have to take ca care re of and all in good condition roads pipe lines water tanks are all in first class order so that the abe profit made from now on which should be over per month can be put in the treasury with my sincere congratulations to the stockholders on the results obtained in this short period and my assurance that this re port gives is only an inadequate idea as to what this proposition is bound to develop into I 1 respectfully submit this report CARL ANDERSEN superintendent |
