Show THE OUTLOOK since our last comment in the issue of this paper for september theme there have been complete fluctuations in the general mining stock market in the east and also in the local market our local stocks are not generally affected by the conditions of the eastern market except so far as the copper stocks are concerned several of the leaders have shown co considerable n sid erable decline in the past two weeks the outlook however is encouraging for better prices there is no doubt a considerable sid erable manipulation of the market using the political situation on one side and then on the other those who have recently passed through the country to the east report the prospects of the greatest crops produced for several years past especially throughout the great grain states gradually the demand for copper is increasing and there has been more buying several of the great copper producers have refused to sell at the present prices for this reason the past few days have seen considerable recovery in the prices of the leading copper stocks most of these stocks should therefore prove a good speculative investment soon after the panic last fall confidence in investment stocks seemed to recover quickly and many of the stocks were bought especially by the small investors and the stocks were laid away for an income not many of these bol holdings dings have been thrown on to the market we believe that the movement which started in the early part of the year and which has been continuing steadily upward with occasional reactions will continue to move upward such reactions as we have had during the past few days are taken advantage of by those who have great confidence in the outcome we feel therefore that we can plead the stability of our financial conditions the great crops and the certainty that business will not be interrupted next year as warranting generally a higher average a e for all good stocks both industrial and mining |
