Show Thieves, Thieves appear to be growing more numerous in this city. Several caiett of petit larceny have recently been reported. Yesterday the reaidnnce of a man named Neilson, in the Ninth ward, was burglarized during the absence ab-sence of the owner and robbed of the crockery. A lady living next door had twenty pounds of butter in Neil-ion'e Neil-ion'e well, which was also Btolen. On the 24th the money till of Miller & Co. 'a podtoffice news depot was broken open, the thief finding only about Bixty cents in nickels. He overlooked a section of the drawer containing five dollars in currency. |
