Show The Operatic Conrt. Mrs. flaydou and the young ladies and gentlemen who assisted at the concert in St. Mark's schoolroom, last evoning, have reason to be proud ol the success of the entertainment. The audience wa lare, the room being fairly erowdeJ, and a mure delighted de-lighted company of ladies and reunite men have seldom aciem le 1 in this eity. Toe pretty little oper-atta oper-atta of "Tlie Widaws Bewitched" formed tho first part ol the entertainment; enter-tainment; and was most excellently rpnrtr(l hv Mm. A,,,.. ftl.w.4 and Mies Emma White, and Messri. Clarence Stevens r.nd John White, tho lirst tiiiuied lady being encored. The second pirt was made up ol songs aud billnds by Mrs. Haydon, duets, instrumental pieces by Mis. Gorlinski, pi mist, Mr. Keuaic itt, organist, and Mr. Weihe, violinist, all of which were chamiugly rendered and occasioned loud and merited applause. We suggest tiiat the entertainment be repeated. |
