Show Condolence. Salt Lake City, July 26, 1S79. We, the undersigned, in behalf of the members of the Twenty-eighth quorum of seventies, having learned roiill o fcdlmr, r.1 rlnn ( , L with a feeling of deep regret of the sad and untimely dentb ol our br ther and fellow worker, Elder Joseph Standing, at the hands of the assassin, while on a mission in tho Btate of Georgia, deairo to add our mite of sympathy and condolence with tho bereaved parenta in the great loss they have sustained. i Elder Standiug baa been well known to ua sinco bia youth, and we have watched bis walk in life and can truiy say that he was an exemplary young mau honest, upright and ever diligent iu the discharge of hia duty, and feel that, while bis loss to his parents may be irreparable, the quorum bas lost, in one so youhg, an idefatigahle worker in the cause of trutn. Eider Slauding was born October oth, 1854, and was on hia second mission lo the southern Hlatea when the sad evput, which we deeply deplore, occurred. We desire also tbat the foregoing be placed on the records of the quorum, and published and a copy Bent to bi3 parenta.
