I Pioceedings in the district court on Thursday, Chief Justice Schaefler presiding: Thomas Commander, Thorn ae Poulton, Timothy Mattuewa, John Martin Johnaon and Tnomaa Crook -ston were admitted to citizenship. The Territory ol Utah V3. Thomaen & Lyngborg; on motion of defendant the appeal waa dismissed; procedendo stayed one week. Wm. H. Hooper et al, vs. Jamea Towusend et al.; trial by court; witnesses wit-nesses sworn, etc ; decree for plaintiffs eranted. George W. Norton os, James W. Snyder el al ; dismissed on defend ants' motion, for want of prosecution. In cases No. 31, 33 and 36thesame order was iasued; case 37 was passed. R. C. Chambers et al. vs. W. R. Carver et al.; trial by court; notice ol location of plaintiffs claim and deeds from locators down to plainlifl offered in evidence by plaintiff; defendant not appearing, judgment for the plaintiff for the premises in dispute and costs rendered. Frederics Rdich et al. vs. J. M. Williamson et al.; trial by court; two cases; notice ol location of defendants' olaim, affidavit of non performance of work and proofd of publication of notice offered in evidence by plaintitls; a defendants did not appear, judgment judg-ment waa entered for plaintiffs for the premises demanded and costs in both casea. Z, Snow vs. John Spriggs; motion by defendant to Set aside judgment in the two caaes overruled. Court adjourned till Friday morning morn-ing at 9.30 o'clock. |
