Show First District School. On the 1st" instant the taxpayers of the first district held a meeting at the school-house for the election of trustees trus-tees for the ensuing year, and the transaction of other business pertaining pertain-ing to educational affairs. The financial finan-cial report of the clerk was read and received, and a vote of thanks was tendered the outgoing trustees for the able manner in which they had performed per-formed their duty during their term of olficc. Afterwards the following board of trustees to serve for the next two years was elected: Joseph Booth, i Wiliiam Campbell and James D. Van Tassell; and Sisson A. Chase was elected collector. , The rale of tax on property for school purposes for the year 1S75 was fixed at one and one-half per cent. |
