Show Valentines- The rush at the postoffice yesterday yester-day amounted to a jam. No one, of course, went there to get valentines, but it so happened that everyone expected ex-pected a letter yesterday. From the numbor of valentines sold in the city last week everybody must have got one, while some got two or more. Out of 18,000 which Raybould had when the season opened, he has but a few left. Miller, Shelton it Fleming imported 0,000, and had sold out before night. Calder fc Careless imported 3,000, all of which are gone. Besides these amounts several smaller dealers have disposed of from 500 to 1,000 making mak-ing all together a good deal of work for poBtoffice clerks. |
