Show j Rebellion in Cuba. I New Y'ork, 19. A dispatch has I been received here from Havana to j tbe eSect that the slaves ol Cienfuegoe, in Cincorillas, Cuba, have risen in rebellion acaiust the Spaniards and have joined the patriots, taking with them a large proportion of their masters' mas-ters' cattle. There ia great indignation indigna-tion in Cuba over the ma?.tcro of about seventeen officers, who served in the last Cuban revolution on the patriot side, but have of late been residing in different places and follow ing their dillerent avooationB. From their past record they were suspected ol being in sympathy with the present revolution. Some were killed in thrt homes before their wives' aud children's child-ren's eyes by Spanish troops, and others were taken to tho woods and slaughtered. The captain general is causing an investigation, and has ciied tbe governors of Coleen, Cien-fuecos Cien-fuecos and Malonga to appear before him to explain the cause of tiiese butcheries. |
