Show Suicide. Last night's Dupaich gives the particulars par-ticulars of a caseoi suicide which took ! place in Cede n on -Wednesday after- noon. L. D. Although somewhat astonished at these strange declarations, tbe persons in the room considered it only the man'e drunkeD nonseost that prompted Dim to uitrr these word?, and so they thought but little of it. YoungblooJ produced a vial, containing, as besaid, ten grains of morphine, in some peppermint water, which he proceeded to take. He Mtaggered out and proceeded to the Beards ley Hotel, and though showing show-ing peculiar pymploms, nobody paid any particular attention to him, thinking him to be drunk. He was turned over to the police and when conveyed to the Globe Hotel, gave alarming symptoms. Medical: aid was called in, but to no purpose, and the unhappy man expired at 11 o'clock that night. He bade dirlerent persons good-bye, and stated that he I was going to kill himself but those who knew him thought it was simply a drunken notion. He is spoken of as being aOable and gentlemanly when BLber, and it ia understood that family difficulties have been instrumental instru-mental in bringing about the un happy termination of bis life. He was about 30 years ol age. |
