Show Question of the Ilour. Mrs. O. I. Godbe's lecture in the Thirteenth Ward AEsembly rooma was liatened to, last evening, attentively by a very good sized audience. Mayor Little introduced the lady, and otated that the lecture was read by her in Washington at a time when the social question of Utah was creating quite an excitement there, and in reading it here Bhe intended to ehow what her public efforts in the world had been. This lecture, we understand, has been read in Botton, New York and Washington, Wash-ington, where it could not fail of being productive of good to the "Mormons" "Mor-mons" at a people, showing, as it docs, the beltersidu of tha social question ques-tion here, and giving logical reasons for the practice of polygamy. Wo must congratulate Mra. Godbe on h?r success as a public speaker. ' Theeinging by the quartette was exceedingly appropriate and well rendered. |
