Show Accident and Death. Tooele City, Nov. 13tb, 1878. Editors Herald: On the 8th instant, as George Coleman Cole-man and M. L. Daley were at work in what is known as Middle canon, (near this place), getting out bsw logs, Mr. Daley met with a serious accident which has resullid in his death. The particulars are as follows: After obtaining his load for four animals and starting for borne, one of the boraes got loose from the wagon, and as the road was rough and sidling, Daley became alarmed and jumped from the load on tbe upper aide ol the wagon, when he was run over by one of the wheels, breakinc his left leg about two-tbirds of the way from the Itqoo to the ancle joint. He was conveyed to tbe home of George Coleman, and Dr. W. B. Dodda was called to attend the fractured limb who put Daley under tbe influence uf chloroform, and extracted fourteen pieces of bone from i he lim b. From this examination amputation amputa-tion was found to be neces-ary and on the 9lh instant Dr. Dodds performed per-formed the operation. On the 12th instant the doo tor examined the limb acd said it was progressing as well as could be expected. ex-pected. Some time during the uight of the 12tb the patient commencfd vomiting and continued to do so during dur-ing most part of the night. Between 6 and 7 o'clock a.m. that morning his symptoms grew alarming, his eyes becoming fixed anil every appearance of death was noticeable. Aid was summoned and he was rubbed to procure pro-cure warmth and so far rallied as to be able ts Bpeak.
