Show T. G. Taylor, Sworn Brok-r- T.G.Taylor, "sworn broker for stocks and shares," Lmdon, has issued a circular "on te sjceessful American miues iu iho west." Mr. Taylor may be a "sworn" broker, but if we wore not christians, and there was no ordinance against such things, wo would swear that he is a"btarsted, British hass." Iu his circular which contains about as much information infor-mation regarding the successful American mines of the west, as an a b c priuierdoesot the moon's inhabitants inhabi-tants he mentions, ol the Utah mines, tho Emma and Flagstaff, and recommends tho purchase ot their shares as boiug a "very attractive adventure now." In referring to tho Flagstaff litigation, - he advises a compromise of the suits, as "an American judge is as apt to favor a a swindler as he would be to right an honest man, and therefore iu such a matter, (the arrangement of the trouhlo with the former direc tors), it would bo good policy to compound with the arch eacmy himself." It is chielly due to the advice ad-vice of such things of impudence, coucirit aud ignorance, as T. G. Taylor, Tay-lor, "sworn broker," that the English Eng-lish people invest in American miues of which they know nothing and then bellow at the country aud tne people because their toolish investments do not pay. If there had naver been a doliar of English money put in a I'tah mine, tha territory and the country to-day would have been incomparably in-comparably richer and far more prosperous. pros-perous. The dollars they havo invested in-vested here havo been so many blights and curses on our mining industry; in-dustry; and wo honestly believe that it would prove a wise investment for, Utah mine owners to hire English capitalists to stay away with their . money-bags. Concerning the "sworn broker's" aspersion ou American judges, it only shows that he is as ignorant of our judiciary as he is of our mines, and as impudent as he is conceited. |
