A Washington speoial says, Ingalls, the new Kansas senator, ii alleged to be as oorrupt as any Kansas politician, and that it appears from tho testimony before the houac judiciary committee, in the case of judge DeLahy, that Iniralls bribed or attempted to bribe DeLahy. Ingalls himself testified oflering a son-in-law of DeLahy $.00 in opou court an hour earlier than usual to make a decree of bankruptcy in favor of a clieDt, which was done. Ingalis gavo a draft on his client at New York for $500. The draft was returned protested and Ingalls In-galls threatened with a suit to recover the amount. Ho defeated collection by alleging that tho draft was given for illegal purpose.. |
