Show Blood, LaGo. Yesterday evening as the shade of night was canopying the city, a rou;:h and tumble fight came off on Commercial street, between be-tween a nankeen colored descendant of Confucius and a Caucasian straight, of burly proportions, in which the latter came out second best. John evidently had the advantage of a "quarrel just," and he hurled at his opponent the challenge of McDuff to Macbeth, which he rendered into piceon English somewhat some-what as follows : "You fightee me, I fightee you; d n ou, you first say stopee; d n me I first lime say stopce," and at it they went. After a series of rounds, fought without any regard to the position of the belt, Caucasia went to grass, and the Celestial flag floated in triumph. |
