C, of the 21st, says: Information is received hero from t York and the adjoining counties of i Spartansburg and Chester, stating that , there is great excitement there owing ' 1 lo the summary proceedings of the 9 U. S. marshal and troops. Forty-four s i citizens have been arrested and 1 1 crammed in tbo jail, which ia already I full of negroes.
