The funeral of colonel j Grosvcner, who was shot on Friday i night by the patrol, took place to-day j with Masonic rites. Tho attendance ! was very large, tho deceased having i had hosts of friends. Tho coroner's jury were in session several hours today, to-day, and exaininod a number of witnesses, wit-nesses, including the officers of the so-called company to which young Treat, who fired the shot( belonged. The captain of the company to which Treat bc-i bc-i longed, tosliLied that he told bis men ; that if obliged to shoot they should : aim at the lower limbs, as he did not ' want them to kill anybody.
