Show A Sir LTH L"R Mine. We saw yesterday yester-day a large specimen of crystaiized sulphur from the Beaver range of mountains, about 300 miles south from ! this city. This suipbur deposit is of I great extent, and tho sample we saw ; i burns upon contact with tire as readily as the dipped end of a luoiicr match. Large quantities of this mineral are being hauled to Bulhonville, where it is used in roating the Pioche ores, as- sisting to chemically decompose them : and at the same time furnishing a ; large per cent'age of the fuel required in the roasting process. |
