Show DO.IIESTIC INFELICITY. A rich caae of this kind occurred in one of our neighboring valleys, last week, which lor downright "check" wc think has no parallel even in this fast age. A family who resided in the valley wero in tho habit of keeping boarders.aud among them was a youn man, whom wc shall call A. being without a place in which to sleep, A. requested of the landlord a place to spread his blankets under his protecting protect-ing roof. There being but two rooms in the house, dining room and bedroom, bed-room, the landlord granted him permission per-mission to sleep on the iloor in one corner of the bedroom. Matters went on smoothly until ono night "mine host" awoke and found the partner of his joys and sorrows gone from his side. Listening quietly lbr a short time, he had no difficulty in tracing her whereabouts to the corner in which A. was sleepiug. Ho sprang from bed, and a row ensued, during which he was ejected from the premises. Nest day he made application at the house lor board and lodging, but was politely informed in-formed by A. and his own wife that he could be accommodated with board, but under no circumstances with lodgiug. He told them he wauled both, or neither, and departed at once in an unedviablo slate of mind. Several days after, during the abseiieo of his wife and A., he obtained possession of ttie house, and, armed to the tecih, denied his wife and A. aJmiitaiiej.and they were compelled to "camp"' in the sagebrush lbr the night. Nest day the Wife held a parley with her husband, hus-band, and, under tho pica of a desire to effect a reconciliation, she succeeded in securing the deadly weapons and admitting ad-mitting A,, when she at once informed her husband that she had no use lbr him and would never live with him again. The wife and A. , at last ae counts, remained masters of the situation, situa-tion, and how tho ail'air will terminate remains to be seen. 1'ioehc Record. |
