Show Moke Inteuviewinu. Jlr. Fred. T. Ferris has been interviewed in New York, and has been permitted to ventilate his views through tho New Vork World. Fred is not by any means a representative man, taken any posib'e way, and his views have peculiarly little interest to people in Utah; but ono brief question and answer an-swer we wilt record: Reporter How is it as to the reported re-ported frightening away of capital through tho present movement? Mr. Ferris It is made more to create an interest at the oast than auy-thing auy-thing else. Capital has ti t bo;i f'right:iud away. The mining interests inter-ests arc, of couih not affected by the movement at all. As the mining interests have su tiered tier-ed most severely and seriously by the crusade, the gentleman who got oil' this seems entitled to the appclation of "truthful Fred," which we onee applied ap-plied to another individual with the same given name. There are several i-tatenuuts similarly "truthful" in the report of tho interview, but as the object ob-ject of the interviewed in going cast is well known, the motive of the statements state-ments may be ca-ily understood. We might add, that as be was ono of the party which aided in pushing on the present crusade, now that he linds it allects them tituueiaily it is only in accordance with the nature of things that he should seek to give matters a different coloring from their real one. Witlj this brief notice wc dismiss Fred. , and his "views." |
