Show ! Not Murdered. Yesterday morning morn-ing the operator of the Deseret Telegraph Tele-graph line at Ogden forwarded the following additional particulars concerning con-cerning the body found on Tuesday, j Although the indications may be that the unfortunate man's death was accidental, acci-dental, the circumstances attending it should receive a complete and thorough investigation, that no doubt may remain re-main regarding it : Ogden, 2. In an interview with Coroner Fife this morning, he states that the body found nearly four miles from Ogden and between three and four hundred yards west of the U. C. K R. track being one mile south of the boundary line of Weber county was placed in a coffin, which had been taken from Ogden, and sent on to Davis county for inquest in that county. On close examination, the ground where the body was found has every appearance of the deceased having hav-ing met with hi3 death by being thrown from a horse and dragged through the brush by the foot, how far cannot be ascertained definitely; and that he was not murdered as reported re-ported yesterday. He is badly scratched scratch-ed and bruised all over the body. The contusions and scratches on the head might induce conjecture, without a t close. examination, that he had met jwith hia death otherwise; but from i every appearance of the ground, and ; finding his coat, which was some dis-l dis-l tance from the body, and his boot only a few feet from where the body was found, it is pretty certain he had been thrown from a horse, dragged by the foot, and only released by it slipping out of tho stirrup and falling where found. The shirt and the other clothing cloth-ing were badly torn. He was about twenty-five years of age, about five feet seven inches high, with red hair, j moustache and whiskers, aud slim jbuilt. Tho letter found in the coat (was addressed "Patrick Knowlan," ! and it ia evidently his name was j Michael Lvuowlan. |
